Letters to Me
As a younger girl I made so many mistakes! From falling in love with the slyest cockiest douchiest boy at the age of 17 to wishing I had just one more day back with my papa. I wish someone had told me... hell I wish I could have been just a little bit smarter! I know I cant change these things and that there part of my past making me who I am today, but I just would have loved to save all those tears I cried over something that seems to only be a distant memory or a boy who's name is starting to give me a less queazy feeling every time i hear it.
The princess effect
Many young girls dream of becoming a princess like the ones they see in the disney cartoons. Many parents give into this buying them the movies, the dolls, and the costumes how ever these woman were not always the best role models for young girls. If we look back to cinderella and Ariel we see how reliant they were on men. Ariel even song her voice for a man while Cinderella had to be rescued to avoid her evil set mother. I will be the first to admit I loved the princesses as a child however know I can clearly see the message they were giving was not the right one. But recently it seems that Disney has realized this too. In the more recent movies like Brave the princess is strong and independent she even saves her mother as well as her self. She takes control of her own fate and proves she doesn't need a husband to be a princess.
Plus I also may be fond of her because she is a fellow red head! <3

Doctor Seuss!
Im gonna stat something a little different... Every morning I am going to put up a Dr. Seuss quote. I know this probably makes no sense to you know but believe me if you start every morning with a quote from Dr. Seuss it'll just make things better trust me he's pretty great!
Im going to start with my favorite Dr. Seuss Quote. This is from the Places you'll Go its a great story. My aunt bought me this book as a graduation present last year and it made me cry, it fit the occasion perfect! So today girls lets get on our way to great new things! Its just there waiting for us!
Operation beautiful!
This is a great program. it is all about telling others their beautiful! Basically they want every one who is participating in operation beautiful to write a post it or leave a not some where for some one to find that tells them a positive thing about them selves. Many people will leave a post-it on a bathroom mirror or on a sign its a great mission to stop negative self-talk!
Heres an example:Operation beautiful
Bad day.. or not?
This note card struck me as being overly simplified. You see what it says is completely true, when I look back on the bad or the good I remember the event and scenario and people who were there. For instance Meeting my best friend Jill I remember perfectly. I was in 1st grade and our guidance councilors came in to do some team building exercises to get to know the other kids and make friends. Many of these kids new each other from kindergarden but I was from a different town. I stood there alone when they told us to partner up so my teacher directed me to another girl standing alone... INSTANT BEST FRIENDS! I mean as a 6 year old there isn't much judgment any ways but we grew up together from then on, she's my sister and other then my parents probably the person who knows me best in this world. So... I remember that moment perfect but if you ask me to recall the date I haven't a clue. I think this just shows everyone that you can have a bad day but soon enough that day is going to disappear from your memory and only moments remain. So maybe a bad day will look better tomorrow!
Who's a good role model?
This is one of those things that is so important in a girls life. They need a strong woman to look up to for inspiration in their life. I don't mean the woman who look glamorous in vogue I mean real woman. A girl needs guidance in her life. My role model is my mother! She is the strongest woman I know she if beautiful and loving she has an amazing career and still loves her family 100%. I suggest that girls go and find a role model that is in their life like a mother, grandmother, sister, even a teacher or councilor. it is just important that they have this! So if you have a impressionable girl in your life please step up and be a good role model they need you and you could help mold their life in ways you don't even fully understand!

Kick Ass WOMAN!
Woman can we please take this as our new motto. If we could all adapt to this way of thinking the world would be a happier place!
Little things
Well today while scrolling through google images I found this picture, Its a quote from Coco Chanel about how strong woman really are. It is things like this that actually make me realize how strong I am and all my girl friends. When you think about it we are the people who deliver babies and are constantly in a competition to proof our selves to men in our lives. We are amazing people and I am proud of all the woman and girls out there! YOU GO GIRLS!! <3
So this is my blog!
Hello world,
My name is Michelle I am 19 and from the United States. I created this blog to help inspire woman all over the world to love them selves. I have finally learned how to do this and my life has become so much better from it. I have been able to open myself up for love, new friendships, and so many new and exciting experiences. My story is not to dark I used to be the most confident child there was until I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a teenager and sorta felt ashamed. I tried to hide my disease from the entire world even choosing to take shots over going on the insulin pump because I was afraid someone would see the tubing. I went through most of high school with only a few close friends and only unsuccessful relationships. When I got my acceptance to the college of my choosing I decided to change all of this I took control of my life that summer got control of my diabetes and decided to know longer hide it. In college I took hard challenging courses because I feel like I could do it. First semester I got honors and an internship in a laboratory studying neuro-psychology... my new passion. I have gone on hikes through my schools local mountains. My life is far from perfect but I am learning to love it for its ups and downs. As a psychology major I am hoping to help other girls with this problem and make them look in the mirror and love what they see whether they are dressed like a beauty queen or have absolutely no makeup on because the truth is we need to love our selfs before we can love others <3
Love all you beautiful girls xoxo
Michelle
